Egg Donation With No Waiting List

In the UK, finding a donor match can take a long time. At Fertina, donor matching typically begins as soon as your screening is complete, with rigorously screened donors matched to you for physical characteristics and ethnicity.

Is It Right for You?

When Donor Eggs Are Worth Considering

Donor-egg IVF is often recommended when treatment with your own eggs is unlikely to be the best path. Because donor eggs come from screened donors in their early twenties, embryo quality reflects the donor’s age rather than yours.

Low Ovarian Reserve

If your AMH is low, your FSH is high, or previous cycles produced few eggs, donor treatment removes egg supply from the equation entirely.

Menopause or Early Menopause

Women in menopause or premature menopause, including after cancer treatment, can still carry a pregnancy with donor eggs. Our donor programme accepts patients into their mid-50s, subject to medical assessment.

Repeated Cycles With Own Eggs

When several own-egg cycles have not led to a pregnancy, or a genetic condition makes using your own eggs inadvisable, donor eggs offer a genuinely different starting point rather than a repeat of the same cycle.

Our Donor Programme

Carefully Screened, Carefully Matched

1. Screening

Our donors are healthy women aged 21–25 who complete a rigorous screening programme before they ever join our register:

  • Full medical evaluation
  • Blood and infection screening
  • Genetic testing
  • Psychological assessment

2. Matching

You receive a detailed, non-identifying profile of your proposed donor so you can make a confident choice:

  • Hair and eye colour, height, build
  • Ethnicity and blood type
  • Education and profession
  • Interests and hobbies

3. Anonymity

Egg donation in North Cyprus is anonymous and governed by strict local regulations. This differs from the UK, where donors are identifiable to donor-conceived children at 18. Our team will talk through what this means for your family before you decide anything.

How It Works

Your Donor-Egg Journey, Step by Step

1. Free consultation
A video or WhatsApp consultation with our team. We review your history, explain the programme, and answer everything, before you spend a penny or book a flight.
2. Screening & matching
Your own tests can be done at home or at our clinic. Once screening is complete, donor matching begins, there is no waiting list, and you approve the donor profile before anything proceeds.
3. Preparation at home
Your cycle is synchronised and your endometrium prepared with medication at home, guided remotely by our clinical team, so your time away from work and family stays short.
4. Treatment in Cyprus
Choose the 10-day pathway (preparation at home, then fly out for fertilisation and transfer) or the 21-day pathway with your full cycle at the clinic. ICSI fertilisation and ultrasound-guided embryo transfer are included in both.
5. Pregnancy test & beyond
A beta-hCG blood test around 12 days after transfer, then continued support from our team, with your coordinator one WhatsApp message away until delivery.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there really no waiting list?

Correct. We maintain an active register of screened donors, so matching typically begins as soon as your own screening is complete, usually within weeks rather than months. If your requirements are very specific, for example an unusual combination of characteristics, your coordinator will give you an honest timeframe up front.

How are your donors screened?

All donors are healthy women aged 21–25 who complete a full medical evaluation, blood and infection screening, genetic testing, and a psychological assessment before joining our programme. Only a minority of applicants are accepted.

How does matching work? Will there be a resemblance?

We match donors to you (or the intended mother) on physical characteristics, hair and eye colour, height, build, skin tone, as well as ethnicity and blood type. You review a detailed, non-identifying profile, including education and interests, and nothing proceeds until you approve the match.

Is donation anonymous? How is that different from the UK?

In North Cyprus, egg donation is anonymous under local regulation: you receive a detailed, non-identifying profile, and the donor has no parental rights or contact. In the UK, donor-conceived people can access identifying donor information at 18. Families weigh this differently, and our team will discuss what it means for you honestly before you commit to anything.

How long do I need to be in Cyprus?

Most UK patients choose the 10-day pathway: preparation happens at home with medication and remote monitoring, and you fly out for fertilisation, transfer, and a few days of rest. If you prefer to have the entire cycle at the clinic, the 21-day pathway includes a three-week apartment stay.

What does donor-egg treatment cost?

Donor-egg IVF starts at €5,450 for treatment only, €9,700 for the 10-day package with accommodation, and €10,200 for the 21-day all-inclusive stay. Every package price includes donor screening, medications, and compensation. All treatment is quoted and billed in EUR, and you will always receive a written breakdown before committing.
